From the shadow of Japan’s Mount Fuji this amazing green tea is health and delicious.
As a civilization on of Japans greatest accomplishments is their remarkable green teas. This Sencha Tea competes well with any of its rivals from China and surpasses many. The literal translation of Sencha is “common tea”, but there is nothing common or ordinary about this exquisite needle leaf tea.
I am not normally a green tea fan, for most are too grassy for me. This tea has a distinct vegetal flavor that is wonderfully robust and both sweet and bitter. The complexities of these flavors are balanced and create quite a unique taste treat. The aroma of steaming vegetables rises upon infusion reminding me of summer squash and arugula. The appearance of its attractive liquor is clear, pale green and very inviting. There are three characteristics that define a great tea, exceptional taste, fragrant aroma and appealing liquor. This Sencha has all three.
